PROJECTS
In recent years we have been able to undertake various projects, thanks to funding from various sources, including Keynsham Town Council environmental fund. Below we show you these projects.
Installing Swift Nesting Boxes
As a recipient of the Waitrose community funding in 2020 and also receiving a donation from Hanham WI, this gave us a sum of money to make a number of swift nesting boxes. Martin Farrell constructed 13 boxes from scratch and installed them to homes around the community, and also installed some people's own boxes too.
Providing Wildlife Homes in the Community
With council funding in 2021, we were able to purchase a number of hedgehog boxes, bird nesting boxes and bug/bee hotels. Some were distributed to children who participated in a wildlife competition that summer. We also provided boxes to various schools around the area, including Wellsway, pupils pictured below.

Hedgehog Street

This project is ongoing and we would be happy to hear from any Keynsham or Saltford resident who would be interested in becoming a Hedgehog Street Champion.
